Responsible Production & Sustainability

Responsible Production

Made When You Want It.
Not Just Because We Can.

At Large Somaek, we believe being thoughtful about

what we create—and how much we create

is just as important as what we create.

Global overproduction and waste on polluted beaches

Around the world, enormous amounts of clothing, accessories and consumer products are produced before anyone has purchased them.

When demand doesn't meet production, those products can become excess inventory—taking up warehouse space, being heavily discounted, destroyed or ultimately becoming waste.

We don't want to add to that cycle.

A Different Approach to Production

That's why many Large Somaek products are made on demand.

Instead of manufacturing large quantities and filling shelves and warehouses with products that may never find a home, an item is produced when someone actually chooses it.

You choose it. We make it.

Less Guessing. Less Excess. More Intention.

For a small brand like ours, producing on demand also gives us something we value creatively: freedom.

We can create more designs, explore new ideas and give people more ways to find something that feels like them—without manufacturing large quantities of every design first.

That means fewer products sitting around waiting to be purchased and less risk of creating inventory simply because there's room on a warehouse shelf.

Thoughtful, Not Perfect.

Made-to-order production isn't a perfect solution. Manufacturing, packaging and shipping all have an environmental impact, and we don't believe in pretending otherwise.

What we can do is make thoughtful choices about the things within our control.

Create products because someone wants them—not simply because we can produce them.

Sustainability and responsible business practices

Small Choices Add Up.

We're a small company, and we're still learning.

As Large Somaek grows, we'll continue looking for practical ways to reduce unnecessary waste, make responsible production choices and work with partners who share those priorities.

We may not be able to solve the world's waste problem.

But we don't have to unnecessarily add to it.
